About Cyclone Software

Cyclone Software is a sole proprietor computer contracting service, based
in Pleasanton, CA.

Established in 1997, with more than 10 prior years of experience working with state-of-the-art computer technology, services include the development and support of interactive 3D graphics applications, graphical user interfaces, multimedia software, and webpage design.

What's in a name?

The Cyclone name derives from the "Tech Cyclone," an interactive, multimedia, exhibit developed for the Tech Museum of Innovation,
in San Jose, CA. The "Design a Coaster" and "Tech Cyclone" exhibits were Cyclone Software's first major project.

Cyclone is the name most commonly found on roller coasters built around the world. Roller coasters are a particular passion of mine,
and the subject of the Tech Cyclone.

The term, cyclone, also provides a metaphor for this endeavor,
on a number of levels.

A synonym for tornado, a cyclone surely strikes terror into the hearts
and minds of anyone witnessing one. Similarly, terror is certain to ensue as one peers down the first drop of a 200 foot tall roller coaster and you begin to accelerate to 70 mph in a matter of seconds.

This terror is not unlike that evoked when a person answers the call of the entrepreneurial spirit. A career propelled into a whirlwind of uncertainty.

However, just as the thrill of that first drop can invigorate and spark the sense of adventure, so can the uncertainty of beginning your own business. A sense of excitement and accomplishment is what brings meaning to our careers, and our lives.
